The Thunderbirds are the air demonstration squadron of the U.S. Air Force (USAF), based at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Thunderbirds have the privilege and responsibility to perform for people all around the world, displaying the pride, precision and professionalism of American Airmen. In every hour-long demonstration, the team combines years of training and experience with an attitude of excellence to showcase what the Air Force is all about.
The sharply choreographed, drill-style ground ceremony kicks off the demonstration by showcasing the attention to detail and esprit de corps that defines our enlisted members. As the jets take to the skies and fly only a few feet from wingtip to wingtip, the crowd gets a glimpse of the awesome skills and capabilities that all fighter pilots must possess. The solo pilots integrate their own loud and proud routine, exhibiting some of the maximum capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Attention Hawg fans! The 122nd Fighter Wing from Indiana Air National Guard will fly a tactical demo exhibiting the fearsome A-10 Warthog. This performance will feature two A-10's and several bomb passes with pyrotechnics.
The Navy’s East Coast TAC Demo squadron, VFA-106 Gladiators, recently introduced a commemorative paint scheme for their F/A-18C “Legacy Hornet” demo jet. The new paint scheme celebrates the legacy of VFA-15 Valions, which is scheduled to formally deactivate in 2017. The jet's markings are representative of VA-15 while flying A-7E Corsairs during the 1970s, and will be featured throughout the 2017 demo season.
This thrilling single-ship demonstration showcases the amazing capabilities of the aircraft, and includes maneuvers typical of both training and combat flying.

About the Pilot: A native Californian, Gregory "Wired" Colyer took his first flight at age 7 in a Cessna 172. Hooked ever since, Greg has been flying for almost 3 decades after earning his license in 1982 while serving in the US Army from 1982-1987.
Flown by the NY Air National Guard's 137th Airlift Squadron, the C-17 Globemaster III is the newest, most flexible cargo aircraft to enter the airlift force.
The C-17 is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area.
The aircraft is operated by a crew of three (pilot, copilot and loadmaster). Cargo is loaded onto the C-17 through a large aft door that accommodates military vehicles and cargo. The C-17 can carry virtually all of the Army's air-transportable equipment.
Maximum payload capacity of the C-17 is 170,900 pounds. Its cruise speed is approximately 450 knots (.76 Mach). The C-17 is designed to airdrop 102 paratroopers and equipment.
The design of the aircraft allows it to operate through small, austere airfields. The C-17 can take off and land on runways as short as 3,500 feet (1,064 meters) and only 90 feet wide (27.4 meters). Even on such narrow runways, the C-17 can turn around using a three-point turn and its backing capability.
The US Army Special Ops Command Parachute Demo Team - the Black Daggers - is comprised entirely of volunteers from throughout the Army Special Operations community. They have diverse backgrounds and possess various military specialties. The team represents the professionalism and dedication of SpecOps forces and performs aerial demonstrations in support of US Army Special Operations Command community outreach and recruiting efforts.
The Black Daggers use the military variant of the ram-air parachute, which allows a free-fall parachutist the ability to jump with more than 100lbs of additional equipment attached. In addition to the extra weight, the jumper must also withstand high winds, frigid temperatures and low oxygen levels, all of which require the jumper to be highly skilled.
The Mission of the Quick Silver Flight Team is to honor and pay tribute to the thousands of veterans that have sacrificed their lives for the freedom and security of others. It is the mission of the Flight Team to keep Quick Silver in the air and Flying at as many shows as we can make.
As this silver bird quickly streaks across the sky, let us not forget those who served, sacrificed, and gave their all.

This year’s air show will feature world-famous Red Bull Air Race master-class pilot Michael Goulian. He’ll be taking a break from the Air Race circuit to come perform his breathtaking aerobatics demo in his home state of Massachusetts!
The T-28 Trojan is a large, fast and loud warbird with combat history and a growling 1425 HP radial engine. Six of these warbirds have a commanding presence on the ramp and generates excitement in the air. The aircraft has smoke systems and sport authentic U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy paint schemes and markings to compliment the patriotic theme.
Matt is recognized as an extraordinary aerobatic pilot who thrills millions of airshow fans each summer. He began flying aerobatics in 1984 and quickly worked his way up to the highest level of competition aerobatics. His performance is sponsored by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Together with Matt Chapman, their mission is to introduce the youth of America to the science, practice, and business of aviation.
The National Warplane Musuem of Geneseo, NY will be dropping static-line paratroopers from their restored Douglas C-47. This wartime veteran aircraft performed the same mission 73 years ago during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, dropping troops from the 82nd Airborne Division on Drop Zone "O" near the village of St. Mere Eglise, France.

The staples to any Third Strike act are a bright red biplane, a daring wingwalker, the best pilot skills available and mountains of billowing smoke. You will find a smile under every tumble. She has performed before millions across Canada, the United States and even in the UK.
Flown in the 1946 Piper J-3 Cub, this act begins as farmer Clem Cleaver climbs up on the announcer's stand, demanding a flight lesson. Later in the show, he "steals" the plane and takes off alone, with his whole crew chasing. Grandpa shoots off a tire to get him down, and Clem lands on his pickup truck as it races down the runway.
Thrilling flight demos, WITH PYROTECHNICS, from WWII aircraft P-40 Warhawk & B-25 Mitchell bomber! Also, their beautiful TBM-3 Avenger will appear as a static display.
The team flies six SNJ-2 aircraft, the Navy’s version of the Texan T-6, a WWII training plane.
The GEICO skytypers air show team are an aerobatic team that perform at airshows around the United States. Known as skytyping, the aircraft perform low-level flying maneuvers and also create aerial smoke message.
Already accomplished as a pilot by age 17, Jason went on to learn aerobatics and started competing in various aerobatics circuits in the Pitts S-1S that he flies today. As one of the youngest aerobatic pilots flying in the US today, his career is already taking off. Jason has made a habit of ranking 1st place in just about all of the regional aerobatic competitions he attends.
Jason currently flies a Pitts S-1S built by Stewart Aeroplane Factory of Godley, Texas. The aircraft has many modifications and deviations from a stock S-1S. Most notably are the modified ailerons, wing tips and an extended rudder length. The aircraft features an overhauled Ly-Con AEIO-360 engine rated at 245HP. Many internal modifications were also made to strengthen areas of the wings and fuselage.
Liberty Jump Team is comprised of commemorative jumpers who honor not only the brave men and women of World War II, but veterans of all conflicts, by performing jumps as they were done in World War II. This team is able to professionally jump into the most difficult of drop zones with accuracy and safety. It consists of primarily active-duty, retired and reserve United States and foreign military members, both men and women. The team members are from the United States, France, Canada, England, Ireland, Holland, Germany, South Africa and Belgium.
